Pitru Moksha in Hindu Mythology is said to be complete only when a pilgrimage to Kasi (Varanasi) is undertaken after completion of a pilgrimage to Rameswaram and also vice-versa. Spiritually both pilgrimage towns are interlinked from ancient times.
